doesnt work anymore
also intercontinnental hotels have the same deal holiday inn etc. http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/c/1/content/dec/cn/0/en/rd/rate/lowguar.html?cm_sp=hi-_-lirg-_-hp
For future reference, these deals only last around ONE DAY from the time they are posted. It's no wonder this one doesn't work anymore, as it's been the entire weekend since it was posted. Wyndham Worldwide monitors this blog and quickly fixes these rate inequalities or employs other tactics to prevent free rooms from being issued (which is understandable).
As for the Intercontinental Hotels Group, theirs is not the "same deal". They offer to match the lower price, plus an additional 10% off of your stay. Thus, if they want $140 for a room and Expedia offers the same for $120, they'd charge you $120 - 10% = $108.00
Wyndham Rewards is the only chain (besides Red Lion) to offer a completely free room to those who find a cheaper rate. Thus in the same case, with a $140 Wyndham rate and a $120 Expedia rate, they would charge you $0.00 for your room.
Definitely not the "same deal".
